OECD. Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. "The OECD groups 30 member countries sharing a commitment to democratic government and the market economy."

Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Largest regional security organization, it includes participants from Europe, North America and Central Asia.

U.S. State Department. Bureau of International Organization Affairs. "develops and implements U.S. policy in the United Nations (UN), the UN's specialized agencies, and other international organizations."

South Asian Association Regional Cooperation. Established by the Heads of State or Government of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, it deals with economic and social issues.


World Bank Group. Source for development assistance, it is a specialized agency of the United Nations. There are five organizations in the World Bank Group'; two which act as lenders and credit agencies: International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and International Development Associations. The World Bank also monitors investment disputes through the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes, guarantees insurance to investors in developing countries through Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency and finances high-risk ventures through the International Finance Corporation

Inter Action. American Council for Voluntary International Action. An alliance of US international development and humanitarian NGO's.

International Peace Bureau . World's oldest peace federation, founded in 1892.

NGO Voice. Voluntary Organisations in Cooperation in International Emergencies is a network of European NGO's created in 1992. With 90 members, its primary aim is to foster links among NGO's.

Oxfam. Oxfam is an alliance of 12 independent nongovernmental organizations whose common goal whose common goal is to fight poverty and injustice.

Seattle Initiative for Global Development. "The Seattle Initiative for Global Development is an alliance of business and civic leaders who believe that significantly reducing extreme global poverty is the most critical step the United States can take to improve security and economic vitality at home and abroad. The Seattle Initiative is building a national network of business and civic leaders working to make global poverty alleviation a national priority."
