50 Years is Enough Grassroots organization organization dedicated to change in World Bank and IMF policies.

African Development Bank Group. "Its shareholders are the 53 countries in Africa as well as 24 countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia."

Asian Development Bank. The 63 member Asian Development Bank goal is to reduce poverty in Asia. Founded in 1966, most members are from the region.

Bank for International Settlements. Originally established in 1930 to deal with German reparations, it now functions as a forum for cooperation among central banks.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Invests in central European and central Asian economies. It works with 27 countries who have stated that they are committed to democratic principles, providing financing for both public and private enterprises.

European Central Bank. The goal of the European Central Bank is to maintain the price stability of the EURO.

HIPC: Heavily Indebted Poor Countries. World Bank initiative to bring debt to "sustainable levels."

Institute of International Finance Created in 1983, this is a global association of financial and banking institutions. Press releases and policy letters are open to visitors; other portions of the site require membership.

Inter-American Development Bank. The bank is owned by 46 member countries, 26 borrowing members and 20 nonborrowing countries. Based in Washington, D.C., the bank includes Inter-American Development bank, an investment corporation and fund managed by IDB which supports private development.

Initiative for Policy Dialogue. Founded by Nobel-prize winning economist, Joseph Stiglitz , the IDP is a network created to assist transition economies develop economic policies.

International Monetary Fund (IMF). "The IMF is an international organization of 184 member countries. It was established to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements; to foster economic growth and high levels of employment; and to provide temporary financial assistance to countries to help ease balance of payments adjustment."

Jubilee Research. A successor to Jubilee 2000, this UK organization was a leader in the debt relief campaign and seeks to provide news and analyses on debt and finance issues.

Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. "The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) was created in 1988 as a member of the World Bank Group to promote foreign direct investment into emerging economies to improve people's lives and reduce poverty." It provides insurance for investors in developing countries.

Our members are largely Latino, Haitian, and Mayan Indian immigrants working in low-wage jobs throughout the state of Florida." This U.S. based organization received the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights award in 2003 for working to improve working conditions for Florida farm workers.

International Labour Organization.

International Confederation of Free Trade Unions. The ICFTU is a NGO established in 1949. It has organizations in over 152 countries and works with the ILO on labor issues and has consultative status with other intergovernmental organizations. Focus is on worker rights, child labor. equitable labor standards and women rights. Many of its publications are available full text on the web site.

International Organization for Migration. Composed of international governmental and nongovernmental organizations, the IGO focuses on the issues and challenges and rights of migrant peoples.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. "Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) advances the legal rights and dignity of low-income immigrants in Washington State by pursuing and preserving their legal status through legal representation, education and public policy."

Northwest Labor and Employment Office. Conducts a worker-to-worker project to facilitate communication between workers in different countries.

University of Iowa. Center for Human Rights. UICHR web site is a valuable resource for all research in human rights. The web site has an emphasis on worker rights and child labor. Parallax: The Journal of Ethics and Globalization With free archive issues back to 2002, this online journal has a wealth of information for visitors to the site. A project of the Aurelius Foundation, the journal "was established as an ideologically neutral space for discussing, analyzing, and exploring contemporary challenges in ethics and globalization." The ethical articles are long and extensive. There is also a debate section, as well as a features section which covers broad areas of globalization.

Jubilee Research. supporting economic justice campaigns worldwide. A successor to Jubilee 2000, this UK organization was a leader in the debt relief campaign and seeks to provide news and analyses on debt and finance issues.
