• Institute for Research on Poverty
  The IRP, non-profit and nonpartisan, was established at the University of Wisconsin-Madison by the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity. The IRP researches the causes and consequences of poverty and social equality.
• National Alliance to End Homelessness
  A non-profit organization whose mission is to mobilize the nonprofit public and private sectors of society in an alliance to end homelessness.
• National Coalition for the Homeless
  Committed to ending homelessness, the Coalition focuses on housing justice, economic justice, health care justice, and civil rights.
• National Health Care for the Homeless Council.

Staffed in major national cities,including Seattle, the Council advocates for universal healthcare and the improvement of current systems intended to serve people who are poor and homeless.
• National Housing Institute
  An independent non-profit organization that examines the issues causing the crisis in housing and community in America.
• National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty
  Seeks solutions to homelessness employing three main strategies: litigation, legislation and education of the public.
• The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life
