Articles
To find articles in journals, magazines or newspapers, you
will need to search a periodical index or database. Some databases
provide access to the complete article. Other databases will provide
a citation to the journal, newspaper or magazine. If the article is
not available full-text, write down the citation and search for the
title in our catalog. If you can't find a journal you are looking
for in our serials lists, request the article from InterLibrary
Loan.

the U.S. and Great Britain. Describes biographical sketches, symposia, conferences,
laboratory guides and book reviews. Subjects include: Astronomy, Atmospheric Science,
Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Conservation, Earth Science, Environment, Genetics,
Health, Mathematics, Medicine, Microbiology, Nutrition, Oceanography,
Physics, Physiology, Zoology.
PrePrints and Technical Reports
Computer Science research relies on the rapid dissemination
of results. The formal, slow process of submitting papers to scholarly journals
has been augmented by other, more rapid, dissemination methods. Searching for
conference proceedings, preprints and technical reports is one method of finding
cutting-edge computer science research.
- Mathematics

view items from all institutions. Eligible patrons may select and borrow materials
directly through the Summit catalog and have materials delivered to the Seattle
University campus for pick-up within 2-3 business days.
- WorldCat
If you can't find what you are looking for in the Lemieux
Library catalog, search WorldCat. WorldCat merges the catalogs of libraries around
the world. If you find a item in WorldCat that you want, request it directly from
the WorldCat screen via the ILL
button or 'Borrow
this item from another library' link in the citation record. SU InterLibrary
Loan will order the item for you and have it delivered to the Library.
Journals and Magazines
Browsing a journal is a good way to discover information on
your topic. Journals provide access to scholarly information
while magazines often contain popular information. Lemieux Library subscribes
to the following print and electronic mathematics journals, magazines, newspapers,
etc. Print journals are shelved alphabetically on the third floor
of the Library. Access to online journals is provided through
licensed databases. If you want to search multiple journals at one time, see the
Articles section above.
