It also covers the disciplines of economics and public administration. Contains important scholarly titles back to 1886 and is the only online source for the Harvard Business Review. LexisNexis Academic
Database which specializes in news, business and legal information. Its news section contains access to international newspapers as well as national and local news. Full text of the New York Times is available in this database. There are separate business news and industry news files as well as a link to accounting publications in the business module. In the business module, you can also search for company financial information with access to Disclosure, Hoover"s, and Standard & Poor's publications. Links to EDGAR and SEC filings. The Reference section contains a country profile section and access to the World Almanac.
 
Research Library Complete

NAICS (North American Industry Classification System)
This code will eventually replace the SIC as the Industry code for businesses. This code expands the SIC to reflect new industries and to accomodate industries in Canada and Mexico. Some business reference sources list both NAICS and SIC codes.
 
SIC Code-Standard Industrial Classification Code
Search for this code at the Occupational Safety & Health Administration website. Last updated in 1987, this 4 digit code, which is used to classify industries by number, is still used in many of the major business services.

The home page on this site was designed for executives who want to connect to information from one screen. No annotations, but links to Daily News, Business News, International News and Business Magazines, and Newsfeeds are available here. A section on Business research links to financial markets, company information and more. Their are two other sections: Office Tools and Leisure Time which link to a variety of sites from reference tools to sports.Most information is free on this site, but subcribers have access to research services.

Ernst & Young's website is filled with information for those interested in international accounting, tax issues, selected industry reports and country information. For the latter search by country and then look for further links under publications or library. Industry information can be found from a pull-down tool bar and a variety of other white papers, reports and news items can be accessed in the library section of the web site. Brief industry reports include: Retail& Consumer, Fianncial Services, Technology, Communications & Entertainment, Energy and Health Sciences.
