| Borrowing from other libraries
> OCA Visiting Patron
Service
Through Lemieux Library's membership in the Orbis Cascade Alliance,
currently enrolled students, faculty and staff who visit Orbis Cascade Alliance
member libraries may borrow
materials on-site. Loan periods, fines, and other circulation policies for "visiting
patrons" vary among institutions; you are bound by the rules of the library
from which you borrow. Contact information, hours, etc. for OCA member libraries
are usually available from the library's
Web page.
Before you go to the other library:
- You will need your 1) Seattle University ID
card AND 2) your seven digit University ID number preceded
by two zeros (for faculty and staff, this number is located on your check
stub). The lending institution cannot help you if you do not have your card or
do not know your University ID number.
- Check your SU
Library account. Any blocks (overdue or unreturned items, unpaid fines) at
your home library will prevent a successful transaction.
- If you have questions, ask a Lemieux Library staff member at
the Circulation Desk (second Floor of the library, 206.296.6233 or libcirc@seattleu.edu)
before you visit an OCA member library.
