Borrowing from Lemieux Library > Searches, Holds, Recalls

If you cannot find a library book, you may request a Search; when the book is found, you will be notified. If the book you seek is checked out, you may request either a Recall or a Hold. Questions may be directed to Trish Stone at 206.296.6232 or email stonet@seattleu.edu.

A Recall is a request by the library staff for materials to be returned as soon as possible. The original borrower is assured use of the material for 2 weeks before returning items to the library.

A Hold is a request for a user to be notified when a lent item has been returned; unlike recalls, the library does not contact the original borrower for early return. To place an item on hold, present your Campus Card at the Circulation desk on the 2nd Floor of Lemieux Library.
