LEAD (Leadership Education And Development) Team is an undergraduate peer leadership education team that serve as facilitators of workshops and programs (see Leadership Take-Out) for the campus and local community, as coaches to help students find their individual leadership path, and as advocates for leadership in other programs and campus events.

LEAD Team is currently recruiting for the 2013 - 2014 academic year!
LEAD Team is looking for enthusiastic and committed undergraduate students to join the Team for the 2013 - 2014 school year! We are seeking students with leadership & facilitation potential, who are looking to delve deeper into developing their leadership skills and working as a member of a high functioning team.
The time commitment is 2 hours per week, as well as additional time to develop and facilitate Leadership Take-Outs and other programs. LEAD Team is a great opportunity to get involved on campus and to build up your leadership experience and skills.
After closely looking over all the information below (mission statement, expectations, etc.), if you are interested in applying for LEAD Team, please fill out a Redhawk Application and return it to the Leadership Development (PAVL 150) either in person or via e-mail (lead@seattleu.edu) by no later than Sunday, May 19th.
Applications will be reviewed and students will be contacted to sign up for an interview time. Interviews will take place the week of May 20th. Please e-mail lead@seattleu.edu with any questions.
Mission Statement
LEAD Team strives to provide opportunities for students to develop their personal leadership potential for the betterment of a global community.
LEAD Team will
- Promote leadership programs, involvement, and services offered by Leadership Development and SU
- Facilitate, plan, and participate in Leadership Take-Out workshops
- Mentor students and campus groups to enhance leadership skills
- Develop leadership programming for the campus and community
LEAD Team members can expect to
- Support fellow SU students by providing leadership programs
- Serve Seattle's youth by engaging in leadership activities in the community
- Participate in a team retreat, ongoing training, and various Leadership Development events
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Hold a weekly office hour (to include mentoring sessions, marketing development, and program planning)
- Lead by example both on campus and in the community
