The Ignatian Leadership Society recognizes students in their Senior year who embody leadership as a lived commitment to professional, spiritual and character formation. As role models, they inspire through diverse examples of communities and leadership paths. As leaders, they continue to serve the university community through counsel, mentorship and action.
The society recognizes students in their senior year who have demonstrated academic, personal and spiritual integration. This spring, we will welcome up to 15 rising juniors and continuing seniors to participate during their final academic year.
Members are selected by Fr. Stephen V. Sundborg, S.J., President. Members meet regularly with members of the SU Executive Team, serve as mentors for others, meet bi-monthly as a cohort and select projects which contribute back to the university community. Examples of past ILHS projects include initiating the campaign that led to the ban on single use water bottles on campus and a new initiative to install a redhawk statue on campus .
