About the Workshop
The Journalism Summer Workshop seeks out
talented high school students, interests them in the world
of journalism, and establishes a pipeline as they go from high school
to college. Students receive intensive instruction from journalists and university professionals. The students' work is published by major news organizations. Students live in dormitories at Seattle University. All expenses are paid and college scholarships are awarded to two outstanding workshop participants.
