Peer Institutions
As part of the formation of our Academic Strategic Action
Plan, consultants identified a set of
institutions comparable to Seattle University in a
number of dimensions including being private
masters comprehensive universities and having similar missions, levels of
student selectivity, student population sizes,
endowments, and so forth. From this large list of statistically similar
universities, eleven institutions were selected as a comparison peer
set that best reflects how we envision Seattle University.
Peer institutions provide benchmark comparisons that are
essential to the university’s assessment strategies and are used as one
component in determining the relative health, growth and trajectory of the
university.
