Summer Housing

During the summer, Seattle University offers safe, convenient and affordable housing in Seattle for both students and interns. Our residence halls are located in some of the most vibrant neighborhoods of the city and offer easy access to all that Seattle has to offer.

Selection for summer housing will begin on May 7th, 2012

Summer 2012 Housing options will included Xavier Hall floors 3 and 4 as spaces for current Murphy Apartment residents.

RA and desk staff will be available during the summer

Qualifications

You qualify to live in on-campus housing during the summer, if you meet at least one of the criteria below:

Registered for at least one class on-campus
Employed, volunteer, or intern for any full-time Staff or Faculty member on-campus

Summer Housing Rates and Options

The summer housing rates are the same as the following fall quarter housing rates.
Summer housing is available in Xavier Hall floors 3 and 4.
Summer housing in the Murphy Apartments are reserved for current Murphy residents.
Tekawitha House (building 2) will be closed for the entire summer for routine maintenance. If you are currently living in this building, you will be offered a comparable room in another Murphy building. (you will be required to move by June 17^th, the housing office will notify you when your new room is ready)
Assigned to live in the Murphy’s for fall quarter? You will be assigned to a room in Xavier Hall for the summer, if you are interested in moving into your fall room early, depending on space, we may be able make some accommodations, please contact the Housing Coordinator if you are interested in moving into your Murphy apartment early. (You will be required to move into Xavier Hall by June 18th, 2012 the housing office will notify you as soon as your new room is ready)
If your summer housing assignment is different than your fall housing assignment you will be required to move into your fall assignment by September 6^th. Most fall rooms will not be ready until September 1^st, keep in mind you will need to be available between September 1^st – September 6^th to move.

Summer Housing Sessions

First 4-week session: If you are only staying during the first 4-week session you will pay 40% of the summer quarter housing rate.
- Move-In date: Sunday, June 17^th 2012
- Move-Out date: Saturday, July 14^th 2012
Second 4-week session: If you are only staying during the second 4-week session you will pay for 40% of the summer quarter housing rate.
- Move-In date: July 15^th 2012
- Move-Out date: August 11^th 2012
8-week Session: If you are only staying for the 8-week session you will pay 80% of the summer quarter housing rate.
- Move-In date: June 17^th 2012
- Move-Our date: August 11^th 2012
Entire Summer Session: If you are staying for the entire summer session you will pay the full summer quarter housing rate.
- Move-In date: June 17^th 2012
- Move-Out date: August 11^th 2012
Intersession: Housing for intercession is VERY limited and will only be awarded in special cases. You will qualify for intersession housing if you meet one of the criteria below:
- You are registered for an intersession class.
- You will pay 40% of summer quarter housing rate
- Move-In date: August 12^th 2012
