Tara began working for Microsoft in March 2008 as a consultant for a Senior Analyst, and in May 2008 was offered a position as an Advertising Operations Associate in the Network Media Operations team. She learned about this position through a Seattle University alum with whom she worked and took classes. Tara feels as though her success “was solely due to networking and being a member of a Seattle University Club and a New Student Mentor.” Her advice to other students is to use all available resources from the University when applying for internships or jobs. “Ultimately, getting yourself out there and marketing yourself is the only way to get a job in this tough economy.”
