STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENT

2009 - 2010

Seattle University requires all full-time (enrolled in 12 or more credits) undergraduates to have health insurance. All full-time undergraduate students will automatically be enrolled in the Seattle University Student Health Insurance Plan. The annual (September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2010) premium of $824.00 will be billed to the student's account in the first full-time quarter of the year and will automatically be renewed annually while the student remains enrolled at Seattle University as a full time student. Students who enter in winter or spring quarter will pay a prorated premium.

Please note, if you have your own health insurance plan with comparable coverage and would like to remove the health insurance charge from your account, you MUST submit an online waiver at https://studentinsurance.wellsfargo.com/~seattleu. If you do not submit an online waiver, you will be responsible for paying the entire health insurance cost. Waivers must be submitted each new academic year to avoid being charged the student health insurance fee.

Waivers must be submitted online (no paper, mail-in, fax-in or call-in waivers are allowed) at the web address provided above by the last day to add/drop courses in the student’s first full time quarter. NO late waivers or exceptions will be accepted after the due date.
