Maura O'Connor, MSN, ARNP
Director of the Student Health Center
Nurse Practitioner
Maura started at the Student Health Center in the spring of 2002 as part time staff and assumed the role of Director in the fall of 2002. She received her undergraduate degrees in Zoology and Nursing at the University of Washington and Seattle University respectively. She completed her MSN at Seattle Pacific University. She has now been practicing in health care for greater than sixteen years and is certified in family practice. Maura's areas of interest are in adolescent health care and education as a means to promote optimal health and wellness. She is married with two daughters and enjoys skiing, camping, gardening and spending time with her family.
Emily Butler, MN, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner
Emily started at the Student Health Center in September of 2003. Her educational training includes a Masters in Nursing from the University of Washington in 2001, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle University in 1996 and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Marquette University in 1991. She has been practicing health care for twelve years. She is certified in family practice and enjoys working with individuals of all ages. Emily's interests include mountain climbing, snow boarding, sea kayaking, cross country skiing, reading and time with her family.
Stephanie Padilla, MN, RNC, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner
Stephanie started with the Student Health Center in the fall of 2008. She is certified in Adult and Women's Primary Health Care through the ANCC and NCC, respectively. She earned her Master's degree from the Univeristy of Washington School of Nursing. Originally from Chicago, she earned her BSN at Loyola University Chicago. For the past 10 years she has practiced health care and most recently focused on outpatient primary care at the UW Women's Health Care Center for the past 5 years. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, painting, spending time with her pug Dr. Kosbee, and tormenting her boyfriend Joe with her unusually vast knowledge of soft rock lyrics.
Cheri Gail, MN, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner
Cheri started at the Student Health Center in October of 2006. Her educational training includes a Master's in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1999, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. She has been practicing health care for fourteen years. She is ANCC certified. Cheri's areas of interest are international medicine and infectious disease. She is married, has one son, and enjoys traveling, water aerobics, volleyball and playing piano.
Erin Degrate-Goss, MA
Clinic Coordinator
Medical Assistant
Erin joined Seattle University in the fall of 1999 as a Medical Assistant and became Clinic Coordinator in 2001. She has worked in the medical field for over 14 years in a wide range of practices as well as 3 years as a Medical Assistant Instructor and two years as head of the Externship Department at Bryman College. Erin enjoys the Health Center for its ability to provide accessible one on one care for the students. She is married and has two boys and one girl and enjoys the movies, reading, sports and travel.
Sarah Oakley
Medical Assistant
Sarah started at the Student Health Center in March of 2009. She has worked as a Medical Assistant since 1998. Throughout the years Sarah has worked in Urgent Care, Pediatrics and specialty clinics. Sarah is passionate about caring for others, and enjoys working in a diverse environment. Sarah is married with four children; one girl and three boys. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, watching reality TV, watching her "one and only, favorite" SOAP opera, "The Young and the Restless." She also enjoys reading and going out to eat.
Carly Rogers-Dayton
Administrative Assistant
Carly Started at the Health Center in July 2008. She received her B.A. (magna cum laude) from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2005 and her M.A. in Film Design from Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia in 2006. Although she still considers herself a filmmaker, she enjoys being in the University and helping the students she encounters. Her other interests include travel, music, photography, fitness, wildlife conservation, and building things with power tools! She and her boyfriend also enjoy hiking and other outdoorsy activities.
