Our Sponsored Research Officers, Julie Thatcher and Anpei Sun, as research administrators oversee the pre-award activity of sponsored agreements, which includes broad support to individuals seeking external funding through federal, state, local, or private entities. They assist through interpretation of the program guidelines, determining institutional eligibility, budget development, application forms, acquiring letters of eligibility, approvals and compliance issues, and confidential proposal review through ORSSP or internal reviewers.  

Our Sponsored Reseaarch Officers also oversee the post-award activity, which includes overall compliance of the award, review of award terms and conditions, review of quarterly financial reports against the approved budget, review of time and effort reports, assistance with budget revisions, and requests for extensions. They coordinates efforts of the multiple departments, colleges or schools, and university offices to ensure compliance with funding agency terms and conditions, university policies, as well as federal regulations, including A-21, A-110 and A-133.
