Seattle University is committed to preparing students as leaders toward a just and humane world, a mission we deliver with confidence and clarity as the leading independent university of the Northwest and among Jesuit Catholic institutions.
The 31st Annual Gala is Seattle University's annual black-tie dinner to raise scholarship support for students at Seattle University. The need for scholarship dollars increases every year, with just over 92% of incoming freshmen in 2013-2014 qualifying for an average of $16,000 in need-based support to fund their education.
The Gala is a wonderful way to celebrate the difference that our supporters make in helping these students, as well as enjoying a wonderful evening of fine dining and entertainment with friends, colleagues, and other corporate and community leaders. This year we will be honoring Joe, '67 and Terri '67, '89 Gaffney with the St. Ignatius Medal, the university's highest honor. The 31st Annual Gala will be chaired by Jim, '69, and Jan, '70 Dwyer, and Don, '09 and Melissa Manning. We hope that you will join us this year to provide our students with the financial support that will impact their education and ultimately help them become leaders for a just and humane world.
