Coalition for Global Concern

The Coalition for Global Concern is concerned with one of the most prominent Jesuit Catholic values-- social justice. As a club we educate ourselves and the campus community about international, domestic, and campus-related issues and events that deal with social justice. Our entire purpose is to better understand the world around us in its just and injust existence, and then to discern and decide what courses of action we will take in an effort to promote justice for the common good. Some activities include hosting speakers, sponsoring panels, writing letters, non-violent protesting, and educating those around us about what is going on and how they can be involved. Through knowledge our groups believes that we can expose injustice and learn about ways to change the world, based on the support of each other, the university, and the Jesuit mission.
