Florence Marie Bauer Scholarship
Scholarships in the amount of $2000 will be awarded to successful candidates by the Seattle/King County Older Women’s League, (OWL). Eligibility criteria: a woman over 50 years old, with no dependent children, a resident of Seattle/King County. The committee encourages applications from displaced homemakers, homeless women and women who for whatever reason must train to support herself. The goal is to assist a woman to achieve financial independence through education and training. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a career goal of working in the gerontology field. This student must have clearly defined educational and career goals and be able to articulate them to the scholarship committee.Applications available in the Seattle University Student Financial Services Office or by contacting the Owl Scholarship committee (see contact information).
