Major Institutional Master Plan

  • Seattle University will work with the City of Seattle, the local community and its Citizen's Advisory Committee to update the institution's Major Institution Master Plan. The Major Institution Master Plan, or MIMP, is a plan that guides campus developments over the next 15 to 20 years. It is a comprehensive land use plan that supports and follows the codes and measures of the Seattle City government.

The Major Institution Master Plan is created through a collaborative planning process that includes the Citizen's Advisory Committee, multiple City departments, the University and neighboring community. The Major Institution Master Plan consists of three main components: The Major Institution Master Plan, the Transportation Management Plan, and the Environmental Impact Statement.

In 2006 Seattle University completed its Facilities Master Plan. This plan, cultivated as an internal planning document, creates the foundation for which the Major Institution Master Plan will be developed.

    Citizen's Advisory Committee Meeting Schedule

The Citizen's Advisory Committee no longer has regular, scheduled meeting as the MIMP is complete. The committee is now a Standing Advisory Committee for the institution to utilize with specific needs.

Comment Trackers, which identify how the Final Draft MIMP responds to comments from the DPD and CAC on their first review of the preliminary draft MIMP, are located in the box to the right.
