Grounds & Landscaping
News: Under New Management!
The Grounds Department is pleased to welcome our new manager, Shannon Britton, to Seattle University! Shannon brings with her twenty years of experience in garden supervision and a degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University. We are all thrilled she has come to work with us and are excited to see how the department evolves under her guidance.
Visiting Campus
Would you like to know more about our landscapes and how we maintain them? We offer tours of the grounds throughout the year, and would be happy to set one up for your group. Tours can highlight the history of the SU landscape, the sustainable practices we use in our pesticide free maintenance program, our in-house compost operation, or the specialized gardens on campus (read about them here). Or we can customize a tour around your group’s interests. For more information, please email Janice Murphy (janicem@seattleu.edu) or David Clausen (clausend@seattleu.edu).
