Keynote Speech - The Fall of the Wall: A History Making Event Still Unfolding Twenty Years Later

Description: Red Crossing: Working and Playing Behind the Iron Curtain

Keynote speaker Sheldon Anderson, professor of history and international studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Anderson has written four books and numerous articles on Eastern Europe during the Communist Era. While researching his books he also played professional basketball in Eastern Europe. He will talk on the theme of the Fall of the Wall as a lived and professional experience. His talk will be followed by a roundtable discussion from several Seattle University faculty members about their personal and professional experience of the Fall of the Wall.
