Students Who Are Parents

  • Access and success is here for you! Whether you are a new student-parent at Seattle University or a current one, we can provide you with the support you need to achieve your educational goals.

Commuter & Transfer Student Life has put together a brochure packed with helpful resources, both on and off campus, for students who are parents. You can pick up a copy in our office located in the Pigott Pavillion for Leadership Suite 180, or download the brochure.

As an undergraduate or graduate student with children, you have many responsibilities. Take advantage of these resources to help you succeed as a student and parent.

    Students Who Are Parents (SWAP)

SWAP is a loose organization of Seattle University's undergrads, graduate students and law school students who gather occasionally for advocacy, coalition building, and friendship. SWAP urges Seattle University to develop or support a day care facility for its students, faculty and staff. SWAP stands for Students Who Are Parents, a student organization that assists non-traditional students who have children. Kerani Mitchell is this year’s representative.

For questions about SWAP, please contact ctsl@seattleu.edu , or call Commuter and Transfer Student Life at 296-6291 for more information.
