Center for the Study of Justice in Society

Welcome

"Every Jesuit academy of higher learning is called to live in a social reality and to live for that social reality, to shed university intelligence upon it and to use university influence to transform it."

- Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J.

About the Center for the Study of Justice in Society

The CSJS at Seattle University promotes interdisciplinary faculty analysis, dialogue, research and scholarship examining the theoretical and practical roots of justice, consistent with the mission of the University. Faculty participants explore the impact of institutional and social structures that systematically affect human dignity and equality. CSJS supports these faculty efforts through a variety of initiatives, including conferences, seminars, workshops and reading groups.
