Globalization & Justice: INTERDISCIPLINARY DIALOGUES is a conference that will bring together the Seattle University community to encourage in-depth conversations about what it means to do global scholarship in a university that is “dedicated to empowering leaders for a just and humane world.”

This will be the first campus-wide conference highlighting the work of Seattle University faculty on globalization and the implications of this work for Seattle University’s justice mission. It builds upon the ground-breaking 2004 conference on Debating Globalization: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue.

More than fifty Seattle University faculty members, representing all eight colleges and schools at the university, along with staff, students and community partners, will share their different approaches towards and perspectives on global scholarship.

f e a t u r i n g  keynote speakers:

Anil K. Gupta, Ph.D. of the Indian Institute of Management, India
"G2G – Grassroots to Global: the Knowledge Rights of Creative Communities"

Francisco Valdes, J.D., J.S.M., J.S.D. of the University of Miami School of Law

“Knowledge Production, Social Justice and Academic Activism: Methods, Principles and Goals”
