CBR Fellows conduct research projects with community partners aimed at improving the quality of life of youth and families residing in the Youth Initiative neighborhood. Community-based research is collaborative, change-oriented research that engages faculty members, students, and community partners in projects that address a community-identified need.
Faculty Fellows receive a $4,000 stipend and their community partner receives an additional $1,000. Fellows meet regularly throughout the year and produce a final report and presentation at the conclusion of the 15 month Fellowship. The CBR Faculty Fellows program is open to all SU faculty, tenure track and non-tenure track. Application materials are distributed in April for the Fellows cohort that begins the following September.
