The Center for Service and Community Engagement serves as a main entry point for students, staff and faculty who want to serve in the community and for community organizations seeking support for their projects. There are many additional campus offices and departments that sponsor service and justice activities including:
- Access to Justice Institute provides quality volunteer experiences for law students while fulfilling unmet legal needs in King County.
- Army ROTC is college elective you can try out for up to two years with no obligation. Unlike traditional college courses, Army ROTC gives you a wide range of experiences while you work toward a degree.
- Campus Ministry sponsors community service, global outreach and social justice education opportunities.
- Career Development Center offers advice and guidance on locating service related internships and jobs.
- Children's Literacy Project places students as tutors at several local schools.
- International Development Internship Program is a year-long academic program engaging students in coursework on campus and internships in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
- Office of Fellowships supports students who want to enhance their education experience through academic awards and special opportunities.
- Student Financial Services offers students who are work-study eligible the opportunity to do paid work at local community organizations.
- Student Service Clubs are great organizations to join to become engaged in service along with other students.
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is a joint venture between Seattle University accounting students and the Internal Revenue Service. Students prepare tax returns for the public free of charge.
