I joined the Center in August of 2012 as the SUYI Data Analyst. My role is to collect and analyze data to ensure that the Youth Initiative is having the greatest impact possible on the community. My passion for educational equity began with my service as a Jumpstart Corps member, and continued after college graduation when I joined Teach For America and was placed in a 2nd grade classroom in Oakland, California. I hold an master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and am currently pursuing my PhD in Sociology, also at UW.
