School Success Coordinator, Gatzert Site

I joined the Center in February of 2011 as the School Success Coordinator at Bailey Gatzert Elementary. My role is to implement the Seattle University Youth Initiative by connecting kids to educational experiences that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Reaching out to students who are being left behind academically by the system is at the heart of my work. I am energized by the potential of the Youth Initiative and its efforts to provide new resources to the community. My connection to this neighborhood goes back to when I attended O’Dea High School and Seattle University. I also hold a JD from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
