Labor of Love

  Sammie_LOL10

Labor of Love (LOL) is a student-led day of service, where all participants engage with the community by serving on a team with other students. LOL occurs every quarter with a different theme each time.

As a university that values engaging in our diverse world, we hope to engage our students in service with agencies that work with immigrant communities and communities of color. Labor of Love is a collaboration between the Center for Service and Community Engagement and the Office of Student Activities.

"Labor of Love offers students the opportunity to build a bridge between Seattle University and our surrounding community…It was great seeing SU students and staff coming together to learn about immigration issues and live the university's values for service and social justice."

-Aldo Resendiz, 2007-2008 Student Leader for the Common Good
