The Center for Service and Community Engagement, in partnership with the Office of the Provost, is proud to offer advocacy skills training for Seattle University students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Based on the work of Catholic Relief Services and developed by Just Associates, the Advocacy Skills Training helps participants develop a shared understanding of social justice advocacy, dynamics of political power, effective messaging, and organizing strategies and tactics.
The training is a full day (9 hours) on a Saturday, and it is offered twice each year, once in Winter Quarter, and once in Spring Quarter. The training is free for SU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Kelly Benkert at firstname.lastname@example.org.
