Dignity, Justice, and Work

During this five-day immersion trip, participants explore issues related to immigration and the rights of immigrant farm workers. The immersion begins in Wapato, Washington, where the group will meet community leaders (e.g. United Farm Workers Union organizers and immigration lawyers) and visit Nuestra Casa (a non-profit agency that provides health and educational programs for Spanish-speaking women). The trip then continues on to Prescott, Washington, where students work in the orchards alongside the farmworkers at Broetje Apple Orchards and serve in the elementary school.
