Faculty Fellows

FF 08-09

The CSCE provides two opportunities for faculty to engage with the community through scholarship with our Academic Service-Learning and Community-Based Research Fellowships. Both fellowships are facilitated by Jeffrey Anderson, Program Director for Faculty Engagement and Assessment.

Academic Service-Learning (ASL) Fellowship

ASL Fellows learn the theory and practice of academic service-learning and how to integrate this methodology into their courses. Click to view program details and information, syllabi and action research projects and a list of past and current ASL Fellows.

Community-Based Research (CBR) Fellowship

CBR Fellows conduct research projects with community partners aimed at improving the quality of life of youth and families residing in the Youth Initiative neighborhood. Click here for more information.

"The immersion program was a wonderful experience. The opportunity for reflections with colleagues who share a passion for social justice was truly life giving and inspiring for me. I got more out of the experience than I could have anticipated."
