What is your role?
to the strategy of the university’s relationships with community based
organizations, the Seattle University Youth Initiative, and residents of the
surrounding neighborhoods. I also guide our partnership with Seattle Housing Authority
for the Choice Neighborhood Education Initiative.
What is your favorite part about working at the CSCE?
and the university at large have been an ideal location for me to live out my
professional purpose of leveraging institutional resources for community
development. The life-long learning environment fostered by the Center is
nurturing and catalyzes everyone to give and be their best. I discovered my
career path during my undergraduate studies and have been blessed to live my
dream ever since.
What is your professional and educational background?
I hold a BS in Biology from Xavier University of
Louisiana and a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit
Management and Community Development from Kentucky State University. I have
worked in higher education for 12 years at public and private institutions
including Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
would love to travel the world with my children for a year or two.
