Core Transition

  • The University Core Curriculum has undergone a major revision, creating a learning outcomes based general education curriculum firmly rooted in the Jesuit, Catholic liberal education tradition to prepare every undergraduate student at SU for the twenty-first century. Over the past three years, SU faculty and staff reconstructed the University Core structure and created more than 300 exciting new courses.  This sequence of courses carefully balances enduring, time-tested wisdom rooted in the Jesuit tradition, with cutting-edge developments across the disciplines designed to effectively engage students.  The new curriculum was fully implemented at the beginning of Academic Year 2013.

This page includes information and assistance regarding the transition for continuring students and academic advisors.
