The Department of Physics invites you to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s first observation of the moons of Jupiter. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, in the Casey Atrium. The evening will feature a reading of scenes from Tom Stoppard’s screenplay “Galileo” and a discussion of Galileo as an historical figure and as portrayed by Stoppard and in the more famous play by Brecht.
