Former prime minister of Tibet, close associate of Dalai Lama to deliver talk April 2

A Buddhist scholar and close associate of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, Samdhong Rinpoche is the former prime minister of the Tibetan government in exile. He is known for his uncompromising commitment to working for social change through Gandhian principles of satyagraha (truth-insistence) and ahimsa (non-violence). Rinpoche will deliver a talk titled "Gandhian Non-violence in Today's World," speaking onĀ topics such as the ongoing self-immolation protests inside Tibet and the challenges of environmental problems such as global warming.
