Theresa Granger earns grant to study POGIL in nursing

Theresa Granger, assistant clinical professor in the College of Nursing, has been selected to receive a Nursing Faculty Initiatives Grant for her project, "The use of POGIL in first quarter nursing immersion courses: A pilot project." POGIL (process-oriented, guided inquiry learning) is an award winning pedagogical technique and philosophy that has been well studied in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) courses at the high school and undergraduate level, however few studies have explored using the pedagogical approach in nursing.
