MurphyGardens_SnapshotThank you to Ben Williams, gardener in the Department of Grounds, for this photo and explanation: "Erin Shankel, the RA for the Murphy Apartments approached me a while back with the idea of renovating the planters in the courtyards there. (On May 24) about 10 volunteer students were there to help plant primroses, tiarellas and bergenias in the Murphy planter boxes. I gave a brief talk on the importance of gardening with native plants and fostering biodiversity through informed plant selection."

Afterwards there was a small barbecue put together by Erin (engineering major) and some of the other volunteers."
