If you could pull off this feat, you'd revel in it, too. Congratulations, Pat Howell, S.J., rector of Seattle
University’s Arrupe House (and his co-conspirator Margaret Moore who took the picture)! You submitted the winning photo for the “messy desk” competition. In recognition of your impressively cluttered work space,
you will receive a $10 gift certificate to Starbucks. But wait, there’s more….
It turns out that Pamela Street, administrative coordinator
in Student Development, just happens to moonlight as an organizing coach. “I have a weekend
business where I assist folks to find their natural point of work and help them
set up their desk to make the clutter more reasonably handled,” she writes. When
Pamela read about the photo contest, she contacted The Commons
and graciously offered to donate a coupon for a free two-hour consult. So there you go, Father Howell—you can sip a latté while
Pamela talks you through some of your options for reorganizing.
A big thanks to everyone who
participated, including Audrey Hudgins, who submitted the picture, below, of Erin Engelhardt’s
desk. (Not bad, Erin--and the Elmer's glue on the window sill is a nice touch--but you've got a ways to go to catch up with the rector!)
