Head Men's Basketball Coach Cameron Dollar presents a Redhawk jersey to Gary Locke, ambassador to China, former Governor of Washington and recipient of an honorary doctorate from Seattle University. Dollar and his players are in the midst of a two-week trip to China during which they will play five games against international teams. Read more about the trip in The Seattle Times.

Droves of SU faculty and staff gathered at Arrupe House for what Rector Pat Howell, S.J., dubbed the "party of the summer" to celebrate St. Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuits, on his feast day, July 31.

Seattle University's Fourth Annual Research Open House was capped off in delicious form when Chemistry Professor Sue Jackels, assisted by students Angelica Omaiye and Leo Rozal, made ice cream using liquid nitrogen. Sponsored by the College of Science and Engineering, the July 26 open house featured nearly 30 research projects undertaken by students and faculty.
