When we last caught up with Mike “The Mayor” Mullen in December, he was paying a visit to his former SU professor, Andrew Tadie of the English Department. Mullen, as you might recall, volleyed a series of interesting, and at times uncomfortable questions, all of which Tadie returned with great verve and grace. Well, it seems The Mayor, who doubles as mechanical shop lead in Facilities Services, is making mischief once again, and this time his subject (victim?) is John Popko, university librarian.

Recently called to the gleaming new Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons to troubleshoot a clogged toilet, Mullen took the occasion to poke his head in Popko’s office for a visit. Click on the video to watch excerpts in the first of a two-part series.

I wish Mullen were the Mayor of Seattle. He would be a great improvement - and all the drains would work!
