Superintendent Program
Michael Silver, Ph.D.
Michael Silver, Ph.D., is Director and Assistant Professor of Educational Administration in the College of Education at Seattle University. He designed the Program for New Principals leadership coaching project in the College of Education. He was the Superintendent-in-Residence and Visiting Lecturer in the College of Education at the University of Washington for 2003-04. Silver recently completed 17 years as Superintendent of Schools for the Tukwila School District in Seattle, Washington. His research interests include educational leadership, the preparation of principals and superintendents, and school improvement.
Rich McCullough, Ph.D.
Rich is Coordinator of the Superintendent Program and Assistant Professor, Professional Studies, in the College of Education at Seattle University. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Western Washington University, the University of Oregon and Linfield College. McCullough recently completed 17 years as Superintendent of the Snoqualmie Valley School District. He is Past President of the Washington Association of School Administrators and was recognized as 2003 Washington State Superintendent of the Year. He also served for 14 years as Superintendent of three Oregon School Districts.
