M.Ed. in Special Education
The M.Ed. is for certified general education teachers with a bachelor's degree who wish to prepare for a new role in special education or who wish to remain in the general education classroom but gain more knowledge of how to best work with and advocate for students with disabilities. The M.Ed. is also for non-certified teachers working with special needs students in a private setting.
Students take courses from faculty and with students in special education, literacy for special needs, general education, school psychology, school counseling, and other disciplines represented within the College of Education. This creates a true interdisciplinary approach to learning.
