We have flexible program options to meet a range of professional goals.
The MEd program in Special Education is designed for experienced, certificated teachers who take one or two courses a quarter during the academic year and one or two courses during the summer. Students take a planned sequence of coursework in special education. The program culminates in the practicum (SPED 549) working with K-12 students with special needs. Completion of the master's degree leads to the Washington State endorsement in special education.
The Educational Specialist in Special Education is designed for teachers who already hold a master's degree, but who want to earn the endorsement in special education.
The Endorsement Only Program in Special Education is designed for teachers who want to earn the endorsement in special education without the master's degree.
