A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a 3.00 GPA earned in the last 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits). Applicants with less than a 3.00 GPA may apply but are required to submit official scores from the GRE or the MAT by the application deadline. Test scores must be from tests taken within the last five years.
Relevant work experience, usually at least one year of teaching at the K-12 level
Washington State teaching certificate
Two recommendations from professional supervisors and/or previous academic advisors or professors who can speak to the candidate's potential success in graduate school

A master's degree (post-master's level) from a regionally accredited college/university with a 3.00 cumulative GPA or a bachelor's degree (post-baccalaureate level) from a regionally accredited college/university with a 3.0 GPA earned in the last 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits). Applicants with less than a 3.00 GPA may apply but are required to submit official scores from the GRE or the MAT by the application deadline. Test scores must be from tests taken within the last five years.
For those students with prior extensive coursework in special education, you may be able to transfer previous coursework to your program at Seattle University. For more information, click here.
