Student Affairs Professional Day
Innovative Leadership in Challenging Economic Times

>>View the agenda

These are some of the most challenging times for Student Affairs professionals, and they require us to rely on vision, passion, discipline and innovation to be successful. We are asked to manage with fewer resources, and therefore, we need more collaboration, more commitment and more creativity than ever before. Join conference facilitator Dr. Larry Roper, vice provost at Oregon State University, along with regional Student Affairs experts as we discuss how to be effective and innovative leaders in these challenging economic times. Current professionals at all levels, alumni, students, as well as those interested in pursuing SDA graduate studies, can spend the day learning and networking with regional and national leaders who will deliver keynote presentations and panel discussions sharing their expertise on critical issues facing student affairs professionals today.

Workshops include:

  • Economic Realities and the Future Face of Higher Education
  • Current and Future Trends in Student Activism
  • Access and Equity in Higher Education
  • Rising Tuition: Stemming the Tides of Student Debt
  • Prospective Student Track: Is Student Affairs for Me?

Sponsored by NASPA Region V and the Seattle University College of Education
