What is the difference between the Master of Arts (MA) program and the Master of Education (MEd) program?
The Master of Arts (MA) program has as its culminating experience the production of a piece of original scholarship.
The Master of Education (MEd) program is conceptualized as a leadership degree. Students in the MEd program have one more elective course than students in the MA program.
The faculty notes that there is no difference in the ability of students in the MA and MEd programs to either find employment in the student affairs profession or to be admitted into doctoral programs.
