The SDA program strives to connect SDA students to exemplary practitioners. Several outstanding leaders in higher education teach a course in the program on an adjunct basis. They include the following:
Jacob Diaz, Ph.D., teaches SDAD 576: Leadership and Governance in Higher Education, SDAD 579: Capstone Seminar, and EDAD 570: Leadership in Education I. Dr. Diaz is our SDAD Visiting Professor, 2013-14. He served for six years as the Vice President for Student Development at Seattle University.
Steve Milam, J.D., teaches SDAD 580: Higher Education Law. Mr. Milam has been lead counsel for the University of Washington and an assistant Attorney General for several public higher education institutions in Washington.
Monica Nixon, Ph.D., teaches EDAD 570: Leadership in Education I. Dr. Nixon is the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs of Seattle University.
Tim Wilson, Ph.D., teaches SDAD 576: Leadership and Governance in Higher Education, SDAD 577: Foundation of the Student Affairs Profession, and EDAD 570: Leadership in Education I. Dr. Wilson is the Assistant Vice President for Student Development at Seattle University.
