Admission Criteria
We seek applicants with a commitment to equity, justice, and continued growth and learning, who possess strong academic knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and potential for leadership. Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 from the last 90 quarter/60 semester credits or a master’s degree with a 3.25 cumulative graduate-level GPA (strong applicants whose GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted on probation)
- GRE scores from tests taken within the last five years sent directly from the scoring agency to the Graduate Admissions Office (the GRE requirement is waived for students holding a master’s degree or doctorate achieved with a 3.25+ GPA)
- Two recommendations, using the College of Education recommendation forms
- Documentation of at least one year’s successful professional, educational, or other experience with school-age children
- One- to two-page autobiographical statement, indicating a commitment to school psychology and knowledge of the school psychologist’s role
- Completion of the College of Education Self-assessment form
